Sauna Fire On Hough Green


Firefighters were called to a sauna which was on fire in Chester.

The hydraulic platform was called from Chester and six firefighters in breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the flames. A thermal imaging camera was used to check the area for hot spots and a large fan to remove smoke from the area.

Electics were isolated and cladding was stripped to search for further fire spread. Smoke alarms were fitted and alerted the occupants. The crews were on the scene for approximately two hours.

Fire engines from Ellesmere Port, Tarporley and Chester along with the hydraulic platform from Chester attended the incident just before 1am.
