Cheshire Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the outskirts of Cheshire.
The collision, between a DAF HGV and a pedestrian occurred on the southbound A55 between Vicars Cross and the Sainsbury’s junction.
Sadly the pedestrian, a 53-year-old local woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the HGV, a 49-year-old man was uninjured.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: “I can confirm that we received a call at 07:37 this morning to an RTC on the A55 involving a vehicle and a HGV. An ambulance and Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) were sent to the scene. One patient was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital by ambulance.”
