A cow has been rescued from a milk machine in Chester.
A cow was marooned in the middle of a revolving milk mechanism machine, after falling from a milking unit at a farm in Chester.
A vet who was in attendance sedated the cow and the farm owner disabled the milk machine. The electrics were isolated. Fire crews removed the cow from the machinery using lines and straps.
The incident occurred at a rural property on Aldford Road (B5130) to the south of the city around 4pm today.
A fire engine from Chester and the rope rescue unit plus a supporting fire engine from Knutsford attended the incident.
